Born in Kerala, India. Murali Cheeroth is widely recognized as an artist of high proficiency since his student years. He has completed his BFA in Print making from Santhiniketan and thereafter MFA from same college of Viswabharathi. He participated in many major shows that includes; ‘Redding Paint’ a group show at Soul Flower Gallery, Bangkok; ‘Waging Peace’ at Arts for Peace Gallery, NewYork in Japan; Rockt Music Art Group Show organized by Gallery Art resource, Mumbai etc. His Indian presence in shows includes; National Exhibitions of Lalita Kala Academy in 1997 and ’98; All India Art Biennale of Rajasthan in 1996-97; Eastern India Art Beinnale, Bhubaneswar 1993 etc.
He received scholarship from Calcutta Cultural Society, Kanoria Foundation Scholarship for Print making, and also Junior fellowship for research in Fibre art from Department of Culture, Govt: of India. His works are included in many prestigious collections in India, The USA, Japan, France, Canada, Holland, Middle East etc…
