Born in Kerala, India. Zakir Hussain Completed his MFA I in graphics from M S University, Baroda afer finishing his B FA from college of fine arts, Kerala, Trivandrum. He has started exhibiting since 2002 in major and juried shows across India soon after his academic training completed.
Zakir Hussain’s noted shows include: Future – Present(2018) at Gallery White, Baroda; ‘MATANCHERI’ (2017) curate by Riyas Komu;’Contemperory Contingencies’, curated by Dr. Kathleen Wyma in 2014; ‘Peak –Shift- Effect’, curated by Gayatri Sinha, Vadehra Art Gallery, New Delhi etc. to mention a few. He has also participated in many group shows organized by reputed gallery both in India and overseas. The artists presently lives and works in Kochi.
